Best time I ever had
by JoeI was stationed on Naha Air Base 60-61. I was A2C with the 3320 Civil Engineer Group Det3-313Air Division. If anyone rembers the unit say hello. Man that was the greatest time of my young life. I didn’t want to come home and put in for another 6 month extension. I loved that place. I wish I could do it all over again.

I feel strongly that most GIs stationed on Okinawa over the years since WWII, as you said, “loved that place.” If you would like to relive Okinawan memories, I recommend that you review the novel, “B.C. Street.” You will find links to purchase sites on www.okinawa-bcstreet.com. If you visit amazon to review their book sales, you must include the periods in B.C. Street or amazon will not recognize the book. The story is set in the early 1960s during “High Commissioner” days and is written true-to-life.
