My Mothers maiden name was Herron, and spelling is the same as yours,, most Herrons,,i have met,,used just one r,, heron.. My Mother was from Southern , Illinois, and her Father, Cuthbert Herron was from that area also..My Cousin Mike Herron is Chief of Police in Harrisburg , Ill,,his father was also named Phillip Herron, ,,good name..
