1957-1959, 1963-1964, 1967-1970
by SonnyThe first time I lived in Okinawa 1957-59. My father was assigned to Kadena and I attended Kubasaki HS Naha. Next time was 1963-64. Was stationed at Naha AB. Last was 1967-70, Was stationed at Kadena AB. Anyone Who was a teen and went Kubasaki 57-59 and remembers Ed (Sonny) Marchant or my sister Gail? I have lost track of every body except Larry Hinson. I was president of the teen club on Kadena in 58. Does anyone remember Corky Clark or Cammie Cameron? Would like to get in touch with some of the old gang. Any one from that period remember 7 or 8 guys wearing jackets with a club called Lovers on the back? Any one from Naha 63-64 that remembers people from Naha Riding Accademy. I worked there for awhile. Would like to get in touch with Walt and Sue Croy, Col Taylor, Lt lafond, Joe Horn and anyone else who remembers me. From 67-70 period would like to hear from Linda Tatum. I am not from the 50’s period but the mid to later 60’s & your stint with the Naha Riding academy caught my eye! I was involved with the Kadena Riding Academy (rival!) and actually purchased my last horse, Big Red, from your stables. I wish I could also contact friend’s from back then & wish you much luck in your search. Have you heard whether the Naha Academy still exist’s as I do understand Kadena was demolished many years ago.
