by Sicilian Ronin19 and transfered to Kadena from Komaki AFB outside Nagoya in 1957. Sleepy place after the mainland but it’s beauty and snorkling were amazing.
Returned as a tech rep with Philco Ford in 67 to work in Futenma. Things had heated up and it was a fascinating place. Federal Electric took the contract and I signed on with them. Married Nobuko and had 2 children born at the Camp Kue hospital and bought a house not far from Nakagusuku Castle. Story book existence that ended in 1973. Back for visits while working in Taegu, Korea. Many feel as I do that it was a gift to have known Okinawa.
