Tweety & me
by jimbeI was stationed at Kadena from 84-88, and spent much of the following 2 or 3 years there as a civilian. I have the greatest memories of living in Okinawa. Met my best friend “tweety” there, him and I had some great times. We had a great group of buddies, Mcarthy Macklin, Craig Mclfresh, Terry Arman, just to name a few. We all worked at the airport, under what was then the 603rd M.A.C. All the pops that worked with us were great, Mr. Miyagi, Sosei Higa, loved those guys. Tweety and I used to go to Naha all the time, Kona Garden was such a fun place to party. Met a lot of hot Japanese girls!!! and had some really wild times! Tweety actually met his wife in Naha one night as we were tying to get into Kona Gardens!! It was the best time of my life to this point, it went way to fast. Wish I could go back in time and do it all again. Thanks, Jim Connor

Alright … I’ll ask . who is tweety? I was new to the Island and there was a guy named Conner who arrived in 86 when I did , but he was an 81150 sps. Are you that Conner? If not …don’t worry about it. But if you are …do you remember snorkeling in that cave when we almost didn’t come back?
